Kaleidoscope Team Christmas Gift Guide

Founder: Chris Ammen

Favorite Kaleidoscope Product: The Gospel Bundle. When Kaleidoscope began five years ago, I always looked forward to the day we’d be able to offer all four Gospels. Each one is unique and tells the story of Jesus from each author’s point of view.

Favorite Product from another small shop: Verselets. I fell in love with this company at a conference this year and all my kids love them. I knew our girls would love their Bible memory bracelets, but I have been most surprised by the reception they have received from our boys. My fourth grade son, who is usually “too cool” for nearly anything, asked if he could get some for his friends as they have been asking him where he gets them!

Something your getting your kids: Gabb Phone. We have held on giving our children phones, and would hold off longer were it not for Gabb. Our middle schooler will get his first Gabb Phone this Christmas. We’ve been especially impressed with their suite of safety features that not only includes no internet and social media access, but also filters their text messages for unwanted and inappropriate content.

Something you want for yourself: This belt. I work from home in gym clothes (I think the ladies call this athleisure). I almost never have a need to get dressed up. So, when I do, the most noticeable feeling is that of a stiff leather belt around my waist. I can't stand it. Hopefully someone will get me one of these so I can continue the feel of gym clothes... I mean athleisure, wherever I go.

Favorite Kaleidoscope Product: Living Water Yoto card. On multiple occasions, I have seen my children connect something they have learned from listening to their Yoto cards at bedtime with a sermon they hear in church. It brings me so much joy, and is such a grace when it can feel so hard sometimes to know if you are spending enough time teaching God's word to them.

Favorite Product from another small shop: This Scripture Hymnal from Randall Goodgame is something I am gifting to several people this year. Beautiful yet singable music that is straight from scripture, this hymnal is something I think every home would be blessed by.

Something your getting your kids: My kids love a good tree swing, and I love anything that encourages them to play outside all year long.

Something you want for yourself: the work from home wardrobe could really use a pair of cushy slippers like these.

Favorite Kaleidoscope Product: The Gentle King: The Gospel of Matthew. It’s the first Kaleidoscope book I ever read, and I was immediately captivated by how engaging and relatable it is for young readers without compromising faithfulness to the original text. I read it as we happened to be going through Matthew in my church’s kids ministry, and I loved seeing how it equipped me to lead some fruitful small group discussions.

Favorite Product from another small shop: Steadfast: A Devotional for Women in Seasons of Change from Well-Watered Women. It’s full of truth that will help you fix your eyes on Jesus in circumstances when you most need to remember that he is faithful and unchanging. The beauty of the design really draws you in and the biblical encouragement found inside will keep you soaking up its pages. It’s a great devotional to have on hand to give as an encouraging gift when a friend is walking through a trial or season of change.

Something your getting your kids: My best friend’s 6-year-old daughter loves listening to her Living Water Yoto card, so I can’t wait to gift her the Living Water Curriculum Journal that goes along with it. She’s going to love following along chapter by chapter and answering the journaling questions, just like she sees the grown-ups in her life doing..

Something you want for yourself: There’s nothing I love more than cozying up with a cup of coffee (or two) and a puzzle on a cold winter afternoon. I’m hoping to up the coziness factor this year with this puzzle that includes beautiful artwork by one of my favorite artists, Loré Pemberton.

Favorite Kaleidoscope Product: Joy to the World: Good News for All People | Board Book. I think this is the sweetest book! I’m saving a copy for a growing family in the future, Lord willing, because it’s not only rich in gospel truth but also so much fun to sing along to the tune of Joy to the World. Even without kids, I love listening to the song. If you haven’t heard it yet, stop what you’re doing and go listen—you’ll love it!

Favorite Product from another small shop: One Thing I Ask 5-Year Prayer JournalThis new cover is absolutely beautiful, but what makes this journal so special is the way it highlights the Lord’s faithfulness. It’s one of my favorite gifts to give because it allows you to look back at prayers from previous years, right alongside your current entries, serving as a powerful reminder of how God has been at work in your life.

Something your getting your kids: The Mansoul Chronicles from Lithos Kids. IWhen I think about meaningful gifts, The Mansoul Chronicles is at the top of my list. It’s more than just a beautifully illustrated story—it’s a gospel-rich adventure that captures kids' imaginations while pointing them to deep truths about God’s love and redemption. This is the kind of gift I love giving to my friends’ kids because it’s fun, meaningful, and points them toward eternal truths

Something you want for yourself: My husband and I are spending Christmas in the UK this year, and since moving from NYC to Miami, I realized I don’t have anything warm to wear! I’m on the hunt for a few cozy pieces to keep me warm—like this sweater
